Ruby

Post by Julie Wilson »

After losing our lovely 14 year old black lab Scooby in March, we weren't sure if we'd have another dog again as he was such a huge miss to our whole family. But then we got hooked on this website and decided we could help a lab in need of a home, rather than go down the puppy route again.

We have now had Ruby for two weeks and she is an absolute delight. She's a lovely girl who loves her cuddles and has settled in really well. She's still on a diet and is getting lots of exercise and is losing weight really well.

She loves our beaches in Northumberland and loves playing with our friend's labs Bullet and Barney. She's still very strong on the lead, but has been better when using the halti. She's also very eager to meet new dogs and runs like the wind to meet them, but always comes back (eventually!!).

Our home feels complete again, having a lab to cuddle and hassle us.

A big thank you to Glenys and Sam, and all at Labrador Rescue they're doing an amazing job for these lovely dogs.

Congratulations on adopting Ruby, she looks like she is well and truly settled into her new life. We love the beaches in Northumberland and spend most weekends there in the summer.

We have 2 black labs adopted from MKF. We have had Alfie for 3 years and Lily for 12 months.
