Tester for Dulux
Hi
I just thought I would update you on Benji and how he is doing in Newcastle!
Benji must be about 2.5 as when we got him in July 2011 he was roughly 11 months old. He seems to be starting to grow up, I say seem as I really dont want to jink anything! Labs being labs we have had the odd mishap, of the shredded dog bed, chewed wood work but it all can be and is now fixed!
Benji now walks nicely on the lead, understands most commands and is very relaxed in the house. He is an excellent guard dog, and barks if anyone comes to the door, while Alfie is normally asleep!
Alfie my yellow lab is 4 in January, and they both get on amazingly well, with cleaning each other and playing on the beach. I must admit in this weather the fields are pure mud therefore walks are on the beach as sand is easier hoovered up than mud! Both boys always sleep together, and you often catch them cuddled up together.
I feel like im a tester for Dulux endurance paint - our hallway had to be decorated, with paint as the boys had tried very hard with mud and dog slobber which wasn't too good!
A local guy who trains working labs has set up a facebook group called labradorable, and we meet every Sunday for a walk. I took the boys on Christmas Eve when there was 18 Labradors, which both Alfie and Benji love. Two hours of playing with their friends really does tire them out.
18 Labradors together is a little mad but they are safe in an enclosed field or sometimes meet at the woods.
Ive sent some updated photographs of Benji.
Kind Regards
Rachel
