Marley - one year on!

Post by alexandjen »

We can't quite believe it's a year now since we came to Malt Kiln Farm and brought Marley home with us. He's become such an important part of our family and we feel so lucky to have him.

Some of our family had doubts about us getting a rescue dog but they have all been won round by what a fantastic dog he is. He's such a softie and loves nothing more than having a cuddle and a tummy rub, or if he had his way being next to us on the sofa (his head is on my knee next to the iPad as I write and he's looking at me with his pleading eyes!) He keeps us fit with his walks round our village and likes to stretch out in front of the fire - after initially being very unsure of the spitting coal and logs! He's also loving the current snow, launching himself into the air chasing snowballs.

I've attached some pictures below showing him doing some of his favourite things.

He's lovely :love5:

What a lucky boy to have such a lovely home. I'm so pleased that Marley has proved to your family that a rescue dog is not a problem dog! I've commented on this subject on another thread this week from someone who posted on their first Rescue dog.

Here's to many more years of happiness for you and Marley.....

That year has flown by! :2090: You wonder where the time goes.

He is a lovely boy, and yes, your are right, most dogs that come into the rescue are not problem dogs, just dogs with an owner who understands their wants and needs.

That was a lovely update and picccys too. Thanks for sharing.
