Labrador Rescue

We adopted Poppy 2 years ago yesterday and I thank Glenys and the team for letting us have her - we made her birthday that day so she is at least 12 now - and weighs down from 45.1kg to 31.7kg and is a happy girl.
I really did not think we would have her for more than 6 months as she was so overweight and unable to walk far but she has astounded me. She was a lucky girl and got toys and an edible birthday card!.

I'm sure that Poppy's longevity is entirely down to your kindness, love and good care

The card is an edible card for dogs from the US from my friends - I just came home from there today so its a day late. She is celebrating today . Crunchkins cards - rawhide with edible ink writing on!

Happy Birthday Poppy !

It's true that inside every overweight labrador there's a slimline one trying to get out. Harry was a similar weight when we got him and has slimmed down to a similar weight as Poppy.

I hope that there are many more Birthdays to come
