Hollie

Post by jcourbet »

Hi Carol & Glenys,

We collected Hollie on Saturday morning, only to have an unusual ride home that included a change of seating for two out of three people in the car! Hollie ended up sitting on my knee on the back seat, she was originally in the boot!

Yesterday she decided to visit the farmers house, she failed to come when we called her (Glenys was right she is stubborn) resulting in her being chased down the farmers lane by three of the smallest dogs ever, she wont do that again.

Overall she has been a gem, she is loving caring and gentle, she just wants to play all the time. On the first night she cried when we went o bed and left her her the kitchen. She has won our hearts as now every night her bed gets carried up the stairs and is brought down again in the morning.

I cannot thank the rescue centre for enough for the amazing new addition we have in our family.

Kind Regards

Jenny & Chris Courbet

Great update. She has obviously fallen on all four paws.

Take advice from me - buy her an extra basket, that's what I did. It's a lot easier. :2362:

Hollie's really settled in quickly, so glad she has found a brilliant new forever home. I'm afraid Lins is right....you need an extra bed! :1968:

Hi

Thanks for the amazing comments.

The weirdest thing happened on day three!!

Hollie came in from her pre bed time walk and curled up on the conservatory sofa and fell asleep, so no more carrying her bed up and down the stairs. Bang goes my new sofa for a few years, neither of us had the heart to move her.

On Sunday we went to Tatton Park, is there any body near by who would be interested in meeting up there in the future, we bumped it a couple with a six month old dog (Millie). Hollie and Millie had fantastic fun playing together in the water, the funniest part however is neither dogs had been swimming until they chased each other into the water. It was only later in the day we discussed the benefits of meeting other dogs and owners and how it would great to give our own dogs encouragement and to share experiences.

Please can somebody help??My technical skills are poor, how do I put pictures on the site? I have some wonderful ones to share in the lakes last week.

Thanks

Took me a little time to work it out but here goes

Create a photo bucket account http://www.photobucket.com

Click 'upload'

Click 'Browse Files' box

Choose photo from your computer

Once uploaded, click on your photo

Then on 'The links to share this photo' box, click the 'IMG' code (it will say copied)

Paste this code onto your post, and hey presto!

Hope this helps

Sounds as if she is now truly at home.

Great to hear Hollie has settled so well and that you may have lost your sofa but got your bed back

Sounds like Hollie found a lovely home! :2385:

I saw your message about Tatton Park.
We don't live too far from Tatton and adopted Marley (14 month Chocolate Lab) 3 weeks ago. He is amazing in the house and he walks much better now we have a halti. His meet & greet needs some work still though.
We may well take Marley swimming sometime in the future. We have only let him off the lead a few times on the dog field nearby, and he will come back unless there is a dog around!!
Once his socialising has improved we will hopefully venture out to Tatton for a swim. We'll be testing his love for water next week on a trip to Pembrokeshire.
Not sure if he'll swim... we discovered yesterday he jumps over puddles (obviously doesn't know he's a Lab!)
