Lovely update. What a handsome boy he is
I love the fact that he insisted on dragging that huge branch around with him - I'm sure many of us can relate to that

Fabulous pictures, what a stunning look boy
Alfie is gorgeous.
Your post made me laugh as our first lab was the same as Alfie the bigger the tree the more stubborn he became about carrying it on the walk
When we moved into a house with a big garden the first thing he did was go to the top where there was a dead tree still standing upright - next thing we knew he was struggling down the garden with said tree balanced in his gaping mouth with a good 6 ft of tree protruding from each side
I even had time to get a photo but I can't find it at the moment. We have no idea how he managed to knock the tree down but he was a clever boy
Keep the photos coming
Joan x

Lovely pictures, Alfie is so sleek and handsome
Yes, the 'tree trunk' photo gave me a chuckle, my last Lab was just the same.. she would drag something huge and cumbersome around for about an hour and then when we returned to the car she would drop it and hop in without a backward glance
Funny how some of them take the retriever part of their name so seriously!
Loving your updates, please keep them coming xx

Ah thanks all. I can't tell him what you are all saying. His head is big enough as it is. He's quite a local celeb now in the village. Everyone saying how handsome and what a lovely colour he is. In fact while queuing in local bakers a lady behind me tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I was Alfie's dad! Never met her before but she had seen out with him and been talking about him to someone who had met him on a walk. He played with a wee boy on the beach one morning whilst out with Leona and the wee lad was autistic and a ared of dogs. Within 20 mins he was throwing his ball and wanting Alfie to go to the cinema with him lol. Alfie somehow knew to be on best behaviour, sitting at his feet and being so gentle. He loves kids but Leona hadn't seen him so calm and respectful. Think he's been here before. Sorry as you can probably read I'm a bit proud of my chocy butterlugs.

Now, that 'stick' is what I call
a knee cap job
How could you resist letting him have his own way, he is a stunner.

He looks like his paws are well and truly under the table - hopefully he won't take his tree trunk there too
Which beach are you on? The row of shops (and pub!) look familiar!

Hi Again. Thanks for the lovely words Carol and do hope to see you soon and can't thank you and everyone at the rescue for completing our wee family.
The beach is Broughty Ferry just by Dundee and glad to see you recognised the pub lol!! Us Scots have a stereotype to live up to
Had to post this as my Alfie entered a local pet dog show in aid of Staffie rescue tayside and he got a third for best rescue dog and third for best trick! He's very proud!!
