Monty with his latest rosette

Monty and I have just been on a nosework weekend, Pet Detectives at Doncaster. On arriving and thinking we would know nobody we met two ladies from Wakefield DTC of which we are also members. But by the end of the first day we knew everyone and their dogs, thanks to Monty introducting himself-he is a great ice breaker. His nosework was really good and he seemed to enjoy himself. His behaviour was impeccable-or maybe I am just biased. But we had a great time.
His working trials training is coming along fine as well, the jumps cause him no trouble. His sendaway is now about 50 yards, and his search square is pretty good, it needs a little work yet but we will persevere.
His latest aquisition is the rosette for the Gold Good Citizen Award which he is proudly wearing on the enclosed photo.
Tomorrow we are going to try his paws at flyballing in an open competition so wish us luck. Will keep you all posted.
