Update on Stella( Bella )
Posted: 24 Nov 2013, 21:37
Well we have had Stella since Oct 1st ! She's been full on since day one !! We had a few " accidents " but that's sorted now , she's much better on the lead and we took advice we got in the form and got her a crate which has worked well ! Having said that Garry has had a jacket chewed and, she demolished my black lepel bra and more recently the handle on my lap top bag ! She will chew anything given half the chance !
We enrolled on the kennel club bronze award training program which Stella just loves , she's the little star , learning very quickly , much more quickly than the other dogs on the course ( I am a very proud mummy every Monday night ! ) it's a great group with a trainer who ironically is called " cat " , a dog behaviourist and a nutritionist , so we are learning lots together and throughly enjoying it ! Can't wait to get our rosette in January , then we are going for silver and gold !
Stella is the most loving affectionate lab I have ever had the pleasure of knowing , she's just wonderful, we thought sabbath was affectionate , but Stella well she is just off the scale ! She is cuddled up with me as I write this .
She loves the company of other dogs , cats and people ! She sits in our bay window waiting for the cat opposite to come out and then cries when he does to go out and play !
Taking on a puppy after sabbath has been a shock to the system but a good shock , it's great to learn together, I feel like an experienced dog owner now , I love learning about doggy behaviour it's fascinating and so rewarding as we train together with Stella
We are all very happy together , Stella as her name suggests really is a wonderful little star !
