3 months on - Poppy update

Post by hannah101 »

Morning Everyone! :)

Just a quick update on Poppy (adopted at the end of August from MKF). We have had a few teething problems (literally!) with regards to chewing etc but I'm happy to report she is much better and is well settled. We have bought every type of toy known to man and it seems to have done the trick. The key is mental stimulation it seems! She was spayed last week so the vet suggested she have no more than ten minutes of lead walking twice a day and plenty of rest - we presumed she would be hyperactive but she's been fine which goes some way to prove that walks are better when they are mentally rather than physically tiring. Have a look at the piccies below with her brother Arran! :sunny:

Lovely photo's.. It is lovely to see she is still smiling in the 1st photo. Don't know what it is about Labs but they always appear to have to have something to chew whether it has been purchased or fetched in from the garden.

Thanks for all the lovely comments everyone! I'm glad you all liked the pics :D . Poppy is a monster of a chewer but even she took several days to get through that 'dino bone'! She strangely attacks the enter of chews, ripping the middle out, she's a machine  We've just got back from the vets (4th time in 2 weeks may I add) so now she's been jabbed up, wormed up and microchipped... there's no escaping us now Poppy! She coming on famously with her training - she's far more intelligent than Arran who is rather stuck in his ways at the grand old age of 9. I think she would have made a brilliant gun dog. As for the scarf colours I'm told that black and white is Newcastle.. I had no idea...I thought it just looked pretty! :D
