Received this email and pics from Jess`s new Mum and Dad. This is particularly for Gemma who picked Jess and another dog, Max,up for us a few weeks ago.
Dear Carol
just a few lines to let you know how Jess is getting on, you remember we collected her from you just about a fortnight ago.
She's settled in so well. The first few nights she whimpered a bit at bedtime, but now she's fine. She sticks close to us, to make sure she's not given away again, I think, we never would, she's so lovable, she wants to lick us to death whilst havng her tummy tickled!
Jess walks very well on a lead (better than our previous dogs) and runs like mad when off, but is very good at coming back when called.Off the lead she does everything at high speed, I wonder if she was more used to being on the lead than off. She's been swimming in our nearby river, we're only a mile from the sea, she doesn't swim there just charges into the waves! We throw balls and sticks for her, she races off but hardly ever brings anything back, we have to retrieve them ourselves! perhaps she wasn't played with much, I'm sure she'll get the idea one day. I am going to go to some training classes with her, partly to get her used to doig things with other dogs around.
Thanks very much for letting us have her, it's lovely to come downstairs to a dog in the morning again! I wish we could let the previous owners know she's got a happy new home.
Thanks again to you all
Barbara
