Cant help but smile at this

Post by Glenys »

You know how we sometimes get complaints at rescue ? well there was this chap who was ringing us and he rang Carol and was very stroppy anyway he said I never returned his calls so Carol said well have you left a message on her answerphone and the Chap said NO I press five for Glenys to ring me back ! and she doesnt ring and Carol said did you leave your number he said No! I pressed five on the phone for her to return my call

:1945:

Now where did I leave that Crystal Ball ? :1945:

And this chap is responsible enough to own/care for a dog? Would he press 5 for an emergency vet to call him back? I could go on!

But then I would turn in to that grumpy old woman again. :2012:

:1966: What a silly man, he's not really doing himself any favours is he having a stroppy attitude if he is wanting to adopt. I wouldn't want to speak to him either there's just no need to be like that with people you don't know!

Handy things those crystal balls (I have one too) I tend to keep my under my desk!

From what I remember the "press 5" option on BT only works if the number being rung is engaged and it then the second caller is telephoned automatically when the first call has ended. This poor chap has obviously lost the plot with the technology which I can sympathise with but there is no need to be stroppy and there is no excuse at all for stroppiness! No doubt you handled it well Carol.

Did you get a nice pink glittery crystal ball Glenys?

awww yes Glenys, there are loads of them out there.....like the day a very undesirable chappie called and wanted to reserve a "tarrier" we had. This chappie I know has no fixed abode, I can spot them a mile away. Well I asked him about fifty questions including his phone number,of course he said he did not have one !! and his address was Main Street, and what number is your house " Oh number 1" ha ha ha. This information is only for the home check I told him and we would be in touch if the owners of the dog did not turn up. As soon as he left the building I filed his application !!!!!!!!!!!! :1967:
Sorry guys but I do get a little enjoyment in annoying some of these idiots. The other girls love listening to me winding the "chappies" up.
A van load of them arrived another day and I stoped them at the gate and asked if I could help. They wanted a "tarrier" so I told them we had none and proceeded to lock the gate, turning around I admired about 15 terriers enjoying themselves playing in the paddocks. The sound of the van speeding off down the drive was a joy to my ears. :bounce:
Aaaaa there are days I do enjoy in rescue. :1945:
