Aww bless 'em. I'm sure they'll soon settle down. The humping will be sorted one way or another, either she'll give him a good telling off or the snip will work. The panting is probably all to do with excitement and insecurity.....and talking of personal experience(should have heard me panting walking up a hill this morning!) being overweight aint going to help.

Congratulations, she is gorgeous. Barney must be very pleased to have a friend to play with. Don't know if it's something to do with the choccie girls but my Fudge seems to attract the boys - in fact a lady asked me if she was in season the other day as her male choc lab was adamant he was going to have his way. She had great difficulty holding him, he was a big lad and very strong and broke out of his collar! We managed to sort them out, but Fudge has been speyed about 3 months ago so don't know what makes her so attractive, apart from being biased and saying she is beautiful.

Anyway, enjoy them both and welcome to the North East, Baileys.

Thanks for the update Julia, lovely to see they are getting on, I am sure in time they will be best of buddies, she probably pants as she is a bit overweight but that is only due to lack of exercise and I am sure in time it will stop....

Aah so its bouncy Bessy is it Lovely They look great together.

Day 3 in the Barney and Bessy House!!!!!!

Yes folks Baileys is now Bessy and she suits her name really well. So now we have Bold Barney and Bouncy Bessy!!!

They are beginning to get on better. Barney has stopped being so pushy and Bessy has stopped teasing him!!!]
However Bessy is not all sweetness and light and has shown some agression to other dogs. today she really went for Barney's friend and alsation called Jaz who is so soft and gentle.It was a real shock and i got on her lead straight away. Ian the owner was understanding but the she went for her again!!!

As Peter is away I am now a bit apprehensive about letting her off the lead but when no other dogs have been around she and Barney have been fine,

She now views this as home and she has a ferocious bark and jumps high in the air barking at people going down the lane behind the house.

Positives are she sleeps all through the night and during the day is taking naps at the same time as Barney so that is a bonus.

O verall I think she is a bit of a MADAM!!!!
