Kizzy's had a great time at training class- she was a star :thumbright: (but me and her already know that!)
She was really good at sit, look, lie down. The main thing was working alongside other dogs and all the distractions going on. We also watched a group doing flyball practice and I could see she was dying to get in there with them and have a go, so that may be on the cards when we get through this training. She's also getting good at getting in and out of the car now, especially as we go to fun places and she knows I'm still there. However, when Dave takes her off for a long walk, there is no looking back or whimpering for me, she just toddles off with him..... :2012: . So much for separation anxiety... :dontknow:
Here's just a few pics that Dave has taken recently-That's if I can remember how, it's been ages since I've done it!!

I just love being in water

Image

Thought I was alone...but don't mind these ducks. I don't chase them now (cos they make a funny noise)

Image

Strange things you come across in the River Goyt....

Image

This is probably the biggest horse I've ever seen, but he don't scare me!!!

Image

I'm still practising putting my head under water, ready for my hols, when I am going to SWIM!!!!

Image

Have got a few videos that are funny that I took on my mobile, but I've got to learn how to convert them so that they are acceptable on photobucket. Also, same with the snoring recordings- you've got to hear them to believe them!!!! Ky will know what I mean!!

Hello Sue

glad you are on the road to recovery, try walking backwards as it is impossible to limp walking backwards!!when I was recovering from a broken ankle the physio used to make me walk backwards if I was limping and then when I was walking backwards he would make me turn and walk forwards till I limped and then repeat it. :1966:

Kizzy looks fantastic they are such water babies. We are so pleased she is doing well at school of course we all know she is a star.
You mention snoring, last week Grayse was in the kitchen asleep and we could hear her from the sitting room over the sound of the tv!! if we got Kizzy and Grayse together they would probably sound like a jumbo taking off!!! :1966: :1966:

Hi Ky
We shall get Grayse and Kizzy together very soon, just as soon as I feel more confident driving a longer distance.

Today we went for our longest walk in a month (well longest for me).We walked along the canal at Marple and were out for 4 hours-I'm knackered, and am limping for England (and N Wales!) but she'd go again if possible. We met ducks, geese, horses and pigs. She was excited by the pigs and their smell as she's obviously not seen them before.

Hey, these pigs have got ears like labs......

Image

These are BIG ducks.....

Image

Don't, please don't kiss me.....

Image

I said, PLEASE don't kiss me...what is it with these hosses......??

I think I really ought to start putting these photos on Pet Gallery from now on and just update Kizzy's training on here.

Hi Ky

Just noticed your post and thought I'd give it a go--(although I think people would stare at me if I tried it in the street or for 4 hours alongside a canal!!)
the physio used to make me walk backwards if I was limping and then when I was walking backwards he would make me turn and walk forwards till I limped and then repeat it.
It works!!!! It really does. I've just been doing it- to Kizzy's amazement. She is now emptying the rubbish bin, laughing at me, believing we're both in 'One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest'!!! :1968: :1968: :1968:

I've told her she's going to get her bum slapped and she just smirks and wags her tail! :1966:

I love your photos of Kizzy, she is a gorgeous girl so pretty! Snoring must run in the family because Poppy her niece is the loudest snorer for such a little creature! Plus she is shaping up to be a waterbaby, she likes to bounce under the watering can when I am watering my pots and seedlings, and has had a little paddle in a shallow stream!

I hope you are nicely on the mend Sue x :love3:

Glad you are on the mend.
Keep walking backwards, it does work!! and if nothing else it gives everyone a laugh. :1966: :1966:

Dogs are fascinated by pigs, I do not know if it is the smell or the noises or what but when we have pigs here the dogs are frantic to get to them and then of course Mij licks them as he does everything, I do wonder if it is because pigs are highly intelligent equally as intelligent as a dog and they sense that.We used to have a terrier that would spend hours in with the pigs and even play with them.
Kizzy is looking so well, we are looking forward to the reunion.

Ky, Mij and Grayse :love5:

A first, for both me and Kizzy today.....

We went down through the woods to the river where I had my 'accident' with the Staffie. It was great to be back there after a month just walking her on the field. Of course it was nothing new to Kizzy as Dave has been taking her down there and even beyond most days. It was a lovely Spring day with glorious sunshine. We met some new friends- 3 large choc labs who thought Kizzy was great and let her join in their game. Kizzy is the small black one, with a blue collar in this video

Image

YES, SHE CAN SWIM!!!!!! :thumbright: :1956:

So I shan't be asking for a refund or replacement from MKF :1962:

Forgot all about my leg and was jumping up and down and pumping my fist in the air. :bounce:

It was also the first time the choc lab with the blue collar had swum too.. it was like a party on the riverbank!!

Dave put the video together and I think he was rather excited as he's mistakenly called it a 'Zizzy' Production. As she's been breaking wind rather a lot these last couple of days (once in the confines of the car :2026: ), he says the next one will be 'Whizzy' Productions

Must say, I feel as proud as punch....

Sue
