Hi Ann
Thanks for asking - sorry did not get back on to the computer last night, a friend of mine called round especially to see the girl. She fell in love with her and would dearly love another dog of her own but work commitments prevent her. Fudge is recovering brilliantly I'm pleased to say. We went to the vet this morning for her post op check and they were pleased with her. Still have to keep her relatively quiet until she gets her stitches out in a week - it gets more difficult each day as she is desperate to play but she gets so excited and wants to jump around so it's really hard saying no all the time. We have had a gentle walk this afternoon and she was sooo pleased to be out and had a good sniff around the field.
She surprised me this morning when the heating engineer arrived (I'm having a new boiler fitted) - she barked at him when he knocked on the front door. Dylan never barked, he just used to run and look for his soft toy to bring to whoever had arrived! He was such a big softy but maybe Fudge will be a better guard dog - or maybe not as she just got really excited and pleased to see him when he came through the door. Her whole rear end wags - it's quite funny.
Off now to watch the rugby on tv with my very own footwarmer.
Hope you and Millie are none the worse following the other day.

Glad Fudge is recovering nicely from her surgery. It is surprising how quickly they forget.

Glad Fudge is none the worse for the op and on the mend. Millie is the same when she wags her tail. She also barks a lot - didn't used to but her favorite thing to yap at is the hoover, which I am doing a lot of these days! She barked at a huge bag of sand this morning and a water feature in somone's garden yesterday. Maybe a trip to Specsavers is required!

Glad to hear that Fudge is doing well! Barking must be something to do with choccie's... our black lab never barked but Coco is very fond of her own voice!
