Labrador Rescue

Lucy (adopted 10/09/11) continues to flourish. She is a clever little dog and can now heel, retrieve and find. She also has a good understanding of recall signals, although compliance is a bit hit and miss. Also gives wonderful cuddles on command! Today's foul weather is of course, not bothering her at all so we are about to go out on our second walk.... Heard a great slogan from a guy with another Lab in the park today "A Labrador's mission is never to leave clean what can be made dirty".

Hi Lindsey welcome to the site lovely to read about Lucy. If it's any consolation my Millie knows what re-call is but like you say compliance is hit & miss which can be extremely frustrating. Love that slogan too how true is it Millie is yellow & definitely prefers to be black

Bob loves to get things dirty too so I like the labrador motto!

Malc (OH) has a client meeting at home this morning so I polished the kitchen worktops, dusted, cleaned the windows and....mopped the floor. Big waste of time that was after this morning's walk! Oh well, I now recite my motto "It's fresh dirt so it doesn't matter".
