Goodness, it has been a week for reflection on how fast time goes by...................4 years ago today we drove to MKF and met Miss Purdey who Glenys so kindly and carefully selected to maybe come and live with us.....and so it began.

The moment we met her we knew it was right. She wagged her entire body as a hello and ran straight up to Buster and started licking him, trying to get him to play. She was a match made in heaven, not just for Bustie but for us too.

And so four years on, I can only say once again thank you so much for allowing us to adopt this most wonderful, clever, beautiful, kind and loving girl.

Funny Joanna, I always said I wanted to call my 1st girl Lola, but Purdey was her name when she came to stay with us and she was so well adjusted and had obviously been really cared for that it seemed wrong to change it somehow............she is however also known as Miss P, Puddin', Pumpkin and Princess Tippy Toes, so it appears one name is never enough

I agree that it is a shame to change their name when it has happy associations for the dog and they relate to it so well.
Wonder whether it was based on Purdey from The Avengers or more like something from a quote from the American classic novel, 'The Grapes of Wrath'.. "She sure is purdy"
I guess we'll never know. I do know that I love her name.. along with all the variations Much nicer than Lola which has become SO passe
