I am hoping that at last I have been able to post a picture of Max.
If successful you will see our very elderly but handsome chappie.
This picture was taken by my step-daughter on her phone - hence the poor quality but it really captures his personality.
Nope - failed dismally. I followed the instructions but all I get is the code on the screen and no photo.
I'll try again later when I can hijack a five year old to show me what to do!

Thanks Glenys. That will save me from being arrested for hijacking a passing five year old!

Thank you ladies. I think he's lovely too! He had just woken up after one of his many naps (he could turn napping into an olympic event) and I suppose the moment would have been lost if we had cleaned his eyes!
We were introduced to Max and Polly through the Rescue almost eight years ago and collected them from their previous owners' house. Sadly Polly had to be PTS last May.
Max will be thirteen in June so he can't quite get up to the antics that Buddie is keeping us entertained with on his thread, but he is enjoying two very slow walks in the field behind our house every day and although he is on steroids we have managed to keep his weight down.
He's our big soft teddy bear bless him.

Max is just lovely Jackie, I love the oldies. Sorry to hear about Polly, were Max and Polly related in any way? As for the naps and slow walking......quite like the idea of that myself! I think he has life sussed out!

Hi Jackie
Yes Max has got life sussed when you add the cosy bed next to the radiator (or as alternatives, the mat by the Aga or the rug in front of the log fire), the love and cuddles and food (and treats). He doesn't even miss Polly (unlike me) as he had to share the cuddles with her!
Polly and Max were "married". Before they came to us, Polly had two litters of puppies and one of these was with Max.
I've just been cleaning windows and he has been following me from room to room and now he's napping by my feet.
The oldies have oodles of character having learned to play the heartstrings of their human owners to perfection!

Awww!!! What a handsome chappie he is. There is a lot to be said for the older dog! Loads of character and they just love you to pieces. Sorry to hear about Polly but I am sure Max gives you loads of cuddles and love. :)
