Labrador Rescue

I know i havnt been on here much lately as life has been throwing us a lot of sxxt to deal with
Our poor Jess has been unwell of and on since bracken died she has had urinary crystals but the prescription food hasnt agreed with her giving her horrible poos and sickness 2 weeks ago she had a clear urine sample so we put her on a food similar to prescription food in content and she seemed fine for a few days
yesterday she deteriorated and my daughter who walked her left a message for me my sister is in hospital and Malcolm had to see his chemo nurse so it wasnt till last night that i realized how poorly she was
Urgent appointment with the vet this morning and she has stayed for tests and xray as she may have a bladder stone severe systitus or worse (i cant help remember when our ebony bled like this she had cancer and that disease seems to be haunting us )

can i please ask for the power of positive thoughts for our girl

O'h Anne I am so sorry to read Jess is not well. Sending tons of positive healing thoughts for her. You must be worried sick. I hope the vet has some better news for you when they have done her tests

Hello Anne sorry I am just catching up
We are so very sorry to see that beautiful Jess is not well, we are sending all the positive thoughts possible and hope that tomorrow she is improving, it is awful when our girls and boys are not well.
I know Anne that you are having a very difficult time at the moment we are thinking of you and sending love

today has been a real roller coaster Malcoln wasnt very well when we got back from the vets
the vet rang and asked if he could give jess a full anesthetic as she was in to much pain to try and get the catheter in with just sedation he wanted to put air in her bladder to get a better xray
when i rang at 1pm he said he had an xray which wasnt showing anything sinister but all her tubes were so swollen he couldnt get the catheter in
our practise doesnt have an ultasound so they are arranging for us to go to the nearest asap

went to visit my sister in hospital on the way to collect jess from the vets to find they had stopped her water tablets and her legs were swelling they said her bloods were not right they never are
whilst i was there a nurse said to elsie that she needed to drink more water she had only drank 1.2 litre she has renal failure and she has been told by her specialist to try and keep to 1litre a day
i told them this and the nurse said she new what elsie needed she was in charge well i am afraid i just hit the roof when elsie was in the care of elderley ward a few yrs ago they did the same and made her ill and her specialist asked me why i hadnt told them about her many illnesses so i did it was just the final straw in a sxxxxy week

my neice just 2 years younger than me lost her husband to cancer at the weekend just approx 8 weeks from diagnoses they had both been supportive of us over the last few years and naturally this has effected us badly

the only good news is jess is home asleep in her bed she has had some scrambled egg and i am going to make her some more i can only hope they get her sorted soon

So sorry to read you are having such an awful time Anne. I hope they get on top of things for poor Jess so firstly sending lots of healing thoughts and hugs for her. Sorry to hear Malcolm and your sister Elsie are also not well and I send lots of healing thoughts and hugs to them too.

You make sure you take care, you must be exhausted trying to hold all of this together it is hard enough dealing with one major problem but you have more than your fair share.

So sorry to hear that Jess is not well. Fingers crossed for a peaceful night and everyone be at least a little bit better in the morning. You know that in most cases your gut instincts are right when everything comes all at once. Hoping to hear some positive news tomorrow.
