this is the first decent snow we've had

Lovely Jan....we are certainly getting some up here today....I am surprised you have not had a lot more sooner, Harwood has been covered with around 6-8 inches for the last week. We have had snow here off and on, certainly got quite a bit today and it is still snowing, pleased I am not at work til Monday

lovely pictures Jan. you are so lucky, we had some snow first thing but it has turned to rain now.

I can see Paddy is a little reluctant but what does Aoife make of the snow?

She loves it, havent been able to keep her in the house all day, even paddy is starting to enjoy it.

We've had thick snow since the beginning of Feb and have to say it is beginning to annoy us now. The snow men I made in the garden are still there and the grass is covered with at least 4 inches of icy snow. The roads are mainly clear except side roads but the small road into our house is solid ice, walking on the paths is like dicing with death and our walk yesterday with the Great Danes had to be cut short as the ice on top of the deep snow in the fields was hurting their feet.

Around 3.30 this afternoon it's started snowing again and is now coming down thick and fast - I think I've had enough of it now.
