Do you remember Ben and Bruce ? given up through very heartbreaking circumstances .
I have been given permission to post an update so that anyone who is thinking of taking two dogs together may be inspired by this.

UPDATE:




Hi

Just dropping you a line to let you know how Ben and Bruce are settling in. They slept the whole journey back to Northumberland! They are fabulous boys, and have settled in really well. They have both now been vaccinated and are both now chipped. They have the most lovely natures, and nearly all our family and friends have visited, and they have been most welcoming to stangers. They have clearly been well trained and are very obedient, Ben still tries to get on top of Bruce, but is easily deterred.



Bruce (the older one) has got a new lease of life, and is walking much more briskly that initially.



They have been having 2 -3 good walks a day, and sleep really well at night. We are trying to encourage them to sleep downstairs at night, but they like to sneak up quietly when they think we are asleep!



They wouldn't leave each other, or me for the first few days, but now they are much better, and do seem to enjoy having short bursts of time without each other - Bruce lay with me whilst I ironed and Ben has helped Robin mow the lawn today!



We are really pleased with them, and they have brought life to our empty garden. They now have new beds, new collars, and loads of balls, squeaky toys etc!!



I have attached a couple of pictures taken when they first arrived. I will send some more in a couple of weeks.



We would like to thank you very much for offering us the opportunity to adopt these beautiful boys, and if you ever have contact with their previous owner, please let them know that we will love and cherish her boys.

So pleased these two boys have made their new owners happy and im sure their former owner will be delighted to know that her cherised boys are happy and together just like she wanted.

These are the ones that make it all worthwhile. Lovely update, I am sure the owner if she reads this will take comfort that her boys have found a lovely new home.

What a lovely ending for two very obviously loved boys. Fantastic that they have been able to stay together. Well done Julie and Robin! Sounds like they're lucky to be with you, and you're lucky to have them.

I often wonder if previous owners take a look on this site to see how they're dogs are progressing - they must be comforted by stories like this. I quite often wonder if Blakey's last owner has a look, as I post on here quite often. I would love her know how happy he is, and how much we love him.

I would certainly be inspired into having 2 together next time (which I hope is a LONG way off!!!)

In this case the owner had no choice but to give her beloved dogs up her life was in danger I am certain she would be happy to know that her boys were happy and safe there were many tears on parting

This is lovely news, and I am sure their previous owner can take comfort in knowing that her boys are going to be well cared for in their new home.

Wonderful update, I love it when 2 dogs who have lived happily together are able to be rehomed together. It must be such a comfort to their previous owner to know they have settled in and are being so well loved in their new home.

Brings a lump to my throat for the boys previous owner, but how wonderful that they have a found another home where they will be truly loved again. Well done.
