Bob's 14 months 14 days feedback!

Well folks where do I begin? Many of you will know my story and so I will not repeat it or you may all doze off with boredom but I must tell you that I love my home with Mum and Dad and I feel really settled, happy and most of all -loved.

Mum takes very great care of me by checking my ears and cleaning them, combing my coat with a special comb, watching what I eat, exercising me by taking me for walks and romps in the field and rides in the car but most of all she has taught me to do what she says and I really enjoy doing this as it earns me the lovely phrase "What a good boy" and a pat, tickle or full-blown cuddle. She thinks I was a bit of a loon mainly because nobody has taught me how to behave properly before.

When Mum is in I follow her around until she finally sits down in the sitting room and then I have at least a twenty minute ear-tickle before settling down in front of the fire with a huge rawhide bone to chew when I feel like it. Sometimes Mum sits in front of the fire with me. I really like that!

Mum is still trying to train me to ignore other dogs and I do try my best but sometimes it is just too exciting and I forget that I'm on my lead until she reminds me. I have come a long way though as last night Mum took me for a wallk to Linda's in the ice and snow knowing that she can now trust me not to pull and she was brave enough to be carrying some eggs for Linda. I heard her tell Dad that she wouldn't even have considered that this time last year so I think she is very pleased with me.

Thank you everyone at Labrador Rescue for finding me my lovely home. I couldn't have asked for more (except maybe a little friend to share it with but Mum is subtly working on that and is still waiting for it to be Dad's idea!) and wish you all Happy Christmas and many little cakes or a nice home-made loaf or pork-pies/meat and potato pies...........

Sloppy licks
Bob

Bob that is a lovely update on your life over the past 14 months and 14 days. You really have come a long way. Keeping my fingers crossed that DAD may come up with the idea that you need a little brother or sister to share your life with. Maybe father Christmas might help.

I will write to Santa on your behalf in the hope that you may get a brother or sister.

What a lovely update Bob! You are a lucky boy to have such a lovely home and a lovely Mum and Dad.
Even though you sound like your life is complete, I'll also write to Santa to see if he'll bring you a friend.
