Remember Archie that was going to be PTS....

Post by kathryn »

Do you all remember Archie that was going to be PTS just before xmas? well here is an update now renamed Bruce...how different it could of been for him....

Hi Kathryn

I thought I would give you an update on Bruce (who was previously Archie). He settled in very quickly and has coped with a busy house over the Christmas and New Year period, where he had the chance to meet lots of people and make himself the 'Christmas Star'. You will remember he was picked up as a stray in Bradford so there was no history on him but he has had some training and will come back when called and wait to be told to take his food etc. He can be naughty and we are having to remember to close doors behind us and also he has a particular preference for taking toilet rolls and chewing them into confetti, but on the whole we can't complain and every day we are learning his likes and dislikes too.

Having spent a full year without a dog after losing our Labrador Sam in December 2008, Bruce has brought smiles and laughter back and it is great out walking everyday and seeing him run and play.

Very best wishes to all at the Rescue for the New Year and thank you for letting us have Bruce.

Great pics, and lovely to hear that Bruce is settled and enjoying life with his new family.

Oh he is gorgeous, he looks such a happy boy with his new family!

We also have a toilet roll confetti maker in the shape of Barney, between them and the contents of the log baskets by the fireplaces, he is a very creative lad! Not so much now he is a grown up boy of 2! But still the odd log and loo roll festival to greet us if we forget to close relevant doors!:1966:

May Bruce and his family have heaps of happiness togther!

What a lovely lad

What mischeif he has in his eyes but he looks gorgous, thank you for taking him and giving him a chance.
We also have a loo roll shreadder, sock nicker, cat food pincher every toy has its eyes and labels missing but i would not swap her for anything. Molly too makes us smile every single day with her antics.

So pleased he is settling in well, he looks lovely.

The alternative doesn't bear thinking about.

Lovely update on Bruce he looks very happy in the picture. My Mum also had a Lab called Polly with an affection for loo rolls and paper hankies, and like you say confetti was an understatement. She would eat paper hankies!

Lovely update on the very lucky and handsome Bruce. Our last lab died December 2007 and then we adopted George in May 2009 the youngsters certainly do bring life back into the home. George can open doors and likes to chew his towels and bedding, oh and the shoe rack but he's such fun to be around.

Hope Bruce continues to keep you on your toes, some of the antics they get up to make you laugh out loud.

What a fabulous ending for Bruce. Just can't bear the thought that a beautiful dog like this could have ended up you know where. What a waste that would have been.

Lovely!

What lovely news and update about Bruce. If it wasn't for LRNW this story would have had a very different ending.
