Gareth just text me to say there was a new Lollypop Lady in Blackburn nothing strange there you may ask but she is near Blackburn College where the youngest person attending I imagine is 16/17 years old so it begs the question if they cant cross the road safely at that age should they be at college and what does the future hold for all of us ?.

You are quite right Glenys but the amount of teenagers you see with both ears wired up to ipods etc I worry if they ever think to listen for traffic when crossing the road. I wonder if a student has had a near miss so Health & Safety have got involved?

Personally I would never have both ears plugged with earphones I find it dissorientating and dangerous as you can't hear background noise.
