Billy's settled in!

Post by Lisa b »

Hi. I just wanted to let you know how Billy is doing.
He's been living with us for just 2 weeks now, and yet we couldn't imagine ourselves without him!
He's settled in so well and is such a lovely boy-we can't believe our luck.
We had him weighed last week and he's quite considerably over weight-he won't let me tell you, so he's on a diet(something he's not keen on), and a strict exercise regime of lots of walks and swimming(something he's very keen on)!!
He's currently snoozing on his bed after another long walk.
Anyway, thank you to Carol and all at the lab rescue for finding us this fellow. And thank you to his previous owner for bringing up such a lovely and well trained dog!
Thanks, Lisa and Adam. :thumbright:

What a lovely update on Billy. :1944: Glad he's settled in. It sounds like he has got his paws well under the table.

Thank you for giving Billy his forever home and thank you to his previous owners for taking him the MKF :love3: :love3:

Thank you for the update.
Just a tip some dogs brought in are from lasck of time to excercise etc.. so dont over do the diet as with people they need fuel to burn off calories So work out what his daily food should be and split it in two one for breakfast one for dinner you can get low calorie dog biscuits or give him a raw carrot to chew as he gets his excercise he will slim down nicely

Glad to hear about Billy. He is a lovely dog and was very well behaved when I picked him up.

Love to see some pics of him when you can.
