Max AKA Mario
Mum says you like to know how us rescue dogs get on when we leave the rescue, so now she’s finally managed to register on the site (only taken her 8 months!) here goes. (Will try and persuade her to work out how to post pictures)
Mum and Dad took me home from the rescue on the 7th Feb. My new home is in Poulton-le-Fylde.
A couple of weeks later, we went all the way to Northumberland - turns out I have 2 new forever homes! The Northumberland one is best though, it’s on a farm and I’m allowed to run free off the lead. I sleep very well at night! Have overheard talk of us moving there permanently one day, though it seems dependant on Mum getting “a job” – not something Dad and I seem to have to worry about, Dad is what they refer to as retired.
Mum and Dad have been refurbishing my North East home for me – apparently we’re painting at the moment. This seems to involve me and Dad staying up there whilst Mum comes back to Lancashire to do this “work” thing. Was a bit boring, I was only allowed to supervise which was difficult as a lot of this painting lark was being done upstairs where I’m not allowed to go (did sneak up once though tee hee!!!). Dad’s also been painting the outside with white paint which I inadvertently got a bit of on me. This made Dad laugh and call me a Toon Army supporter whatever that is, but seems (from Dad’s point of view) to be a good thing………..
Doesn’t time fly – can’t believe that I’ve been in my new home for 8 months now. Mum seems to think that I’m starting to look fat and keeps muttering something about a diet. Just because she’s put a few pounds on recently doesn’t mean we all have to suffer. Dad says I’m just all muscle and has promised to keep the biscuit supply coming.
Looking forward to Christmas – Mum keeps asking me what I would like. Frankly anything that is edible is fine, but don’t hold out much hope due to the threat of this diet thing. I’m supposed to buy Mum and Dad a present too, but how I’m supposed to manage this when a) I get no pocket money and b) I’m not allowed in shops, I really can’t work out. Do have fun though running errands with Dad for Mum to the bank. I’ve become quite a regular at Lloyds TSB and have been complimented several times on my good behaviour whilst making bank transactions.

Lovely update Max, you are a lucky boy having 2 homes! I remember seeing your picture on the site way back in February. You will have to help Dad post some more on. So glad you've landed on all paws
