Benson

Post by jackie »

Most of you will know that the lovely Roxy is looking for a new home. I thought I would share some pictures of one of our Rott's, Benson, to try and show that not all of these dogs are what the media have portrayed ...if these dogs are handled correctly (as with all breeds) they make wonderful pets and they are as soft and cuddly as any Labrador. Benson was our most loving and loyal family friend and we all miss him very much. He seemed to to get under the skin of everyone he met as he just loved people. I apologise for the quality of the photos and I am not sure why some of them have changed position when I have transferred them from photobucket?? not good with technology!

Benson with my daughter Holly.

Benson doing his 'Who loves ya baby' impression - he loved to pose for pictures as you can see! My little sister had to hold the sunglasses on though as his head was too big!

Benson in the sea - yes Rotts quite like a swim too, although they may not be as keen as your Labrador! He didn't mind going in up to his stomach but that was about it!
Image

Benson with Chloe (Golden Retriever) when she was a pup. He just loved Chloe - we have a great video of the two of them, he would lay down while she literally jumped all over him, biting and pulling his ears, he never once growled or hurt Chloe.

Again with Holly but this time he made a good back rest for her!

its funny a Rottie was the first dog I ever wanted and if it wasnt for Mrs Bossy Pat Pug she would be staying with us .

Lovely photos, i think all dogs are what their owners make them, rottys and bull terriers get bad press because of some of the type of people who keep them, in the hands of responsible owners they are a pleasure.

Lovely photos of your rotties. I must agree they ARE lovely dogs. Kips made friends with one at his obedience class - he's called Bear and it is so appropriate because he's just a big cuddly softie who wants to roll over and play at every opportunity. His owner got him as a rescue dog with no background at 6 months old and although he's as strong as on ox he's a real gentle giant.

Here's hoping the lovely Roxy finds herself a loving home soon.
