Poppy Lump!
Poppy had a large lump come up on her side - she had it same place before and we emptied pus out and antibitotics and that was the end of it - it came back larger and so she has just had it removed - It was all enclosed and whether a cyst, foreign body or a tumour - I am not having the histopathology done - she is 11 years old and it will not affect how we treat her - she is a happy soul and will be well loved for the rest of her days. I am so glad we saw it before I go on holiday on Friday and leave here with OH - I would have been so worried = subcuticular stitches so no probs I hope there.. She is such a love. Poor Poppy.

Re: Poppy Lump!
So sorry poor Poppy
Hopefully it is nothing as labs are so prone to lumps, my daughters dog woody is 10yrs and has so many the vet wont touch them now as dont think he would know where to start.
Like Poppy he will be loved and spoilt to the end so why torture yourself in knowing.
to Poppy and enjoy your holiday.

Re: Poppy Lump!
Apart from the dreaded buster collar she looks and acts fine - has eaten - she was on the table at 12.30 and home at 2pm - she has been really really good. Wound has glue top and stitches underneath so not a problem when I am away. Thank you all for your kind thoughts.
