My name is Holly and I am very special

Post by Glenys » 11 Sep 2013, 09:03

Remember Dear Insulin Charlie? he sadly went to the bridge recently after his happy life with Sam and Family who took him in when no one else could and gave him a wonderful life I did say someone else would mend their hearts but this one seems to be mending a lot more than hearts.........

Welcome to Holly a dear old girlie

Hi Glenys

Hope all is well with you.
Here is the beautiful Holly - settled in so well- as though she has been here all the time.
The family can't believe how similar she is to our first lab Poppy - but lets just say she's won a few hearts already. Dad keeps thinking of excuses to drop in and see her!!!
Most days she comes with me to the local old peoples home where i visit a friend, As Holly is so sociable, she greets all the residences in the lounge - it is fantastic to watch an elderly persons face light up when she wags her tail and licks them. Lets just say she is a firm favourite and people ask where she is if i go more than a couple of days without her.
She is also very popular with my students She sits at their feet while they learn - for the younger ones we take a break after half an hours tuition and play with Holly in the garden.
Whilst we were on holiday at my brothers, we couldn't help but notice how much she liked the rug! So on our return we used my semi retirement gift from school to buy...... a rug - M and S no less.
Even though she loves her bed( next to ours) a couple of nights we have her heard her pad off and settle on HER rug...bless...

Attached a couple of piccies.

As always
Thanks and keep up the good work.

Sam and Andrew

Fantastic update, brought tears to my eyes. Holly :love5: certainly looks at home and is relishing her job of mending broken hearts, she certainly sounds an expert at that job :1970:

Bless her for liking her rug and congratulations to Sam and Andrew on adopting this lovely girl and giving her such a wonderful home. :bravo:
