This from our Fantastic Vet Chris Manning re Duke this is what great Vets do thank you so much to all at Hillcrest Animal Hospital Chorley
Dear Mr and Mrs Fryer,
Please find attached radiographs and some text in respect of the fracture repair of Dukes right hind leg. Please feel free to attach to your website or to update all the well wishers and kind supporters who made donations to save Dukes leg. I have asked permission from the owner and removed the ID for anonymity. It took almost 4 hours to reconstruct his leg but as you can see from the radiographs - had an excellent outcome and there is every chance he will make a full recovery.
Hillcrest waived £550 in implants and anaesthesia in support of your kind offer to secure Dukes future. In the current climate of atrocious news, we trust this patient will offer some good news and a positive story this Christmas time.
What a super vet!!!!!! Very kind of them to waive charges in order to save this dog, not to mention the work and skill that's gone into his treatment. Interesting to see the x-rays.
Well doesn't that restore your faith in the veterinary profession - and what a contrast to the last one! Wonderful to receive that kind of support from true caring professionals. Absolutely brilliant news! Hope Duke and his family can now really enjoy their Christmas
3 cheers for Hillcrest Animal Hospital!!!

Was speaking to my vets about Barney this morning and was telling the receptionist about Duke's story. She said that the animals welfare was always their first priority at Village Vets (and I know this is true as I'm a regular visitor with my boy).
Many good wishes to Dukeand his family for a good and speedy recovery.
What a wonderful heartwarming update. Thank you to Glenys for being there for this boy and also ahuge thank you to Hillcrest Vets - your practice is a credit to the Veterinary profession.
Sending Duke lots of healing thoughts and wishing him and his family a very Happy Christmas and a complete recovery for Duke in the New Year.

Such good news about Duke and the generosity of Chris and Hillcrest vets. I hope Duke goes on to make a great recovery - well done Glenys and everyone who contributed to his surgery.

What a lovely thing for the vets to do waive some of the charges . Restores your faith in human nature after the atrocious actions of dukes original vet. Get well soon Duke.
