With great sadness

Post by Maggies Dad »

It is with great sadness I have to report that just 2 days after Bryn's 8th birthday, this morning, we lost our wonderful boy.
We were woken in the early hours by Max barking in the kitchen. I came down and found Bryn lying on the lounge floor wagging that ever wagging tail, but otherwise unable to move. Apparently a disc in his neck had collapsed and this was completely different to his hip problems.
Our Wonderful Bryn has now crossed the bridge and will be pain free, we will always miss him and we cannot imagine ever not mourning his loss. We are however, so glad to have had him in our lives, if only for 6 short years. They were such happiness filled years and the things he achieved during that time were wonderful, including training, P A T visiting, and generally bringing Love and Joy to everyone who was lucky enough to meet him.
It was an honour to have known him, we were blessed.

Night night Son, Thank You for Adopting us.
Brian. ( Max and Jess's Dad )

Oh Brian, how sad and what a shock.

I am so very, very sorry you have had to say your farewells to Bryn. He certainly touched many hearts (including mine.)

As you say, he is now free from pain and joined his many friends at the bridge. Time does heal, and you have so many wonderful memories of him that will, eventually, make you smile.

Thinking of you at this very sad time.

Run free at the bridge darling Bryn. Gone but, never forgotten. :love2:

Oh No. I am so sorry to read this. So unexpected.

I remember Bryn coming into your lives, and what a wonderful life he went into.

You have fantastic memories of him which you will cherish. I would choose 6 wonderful years over 10 unhappy ones.

Dear Brian, Sue, Maggie and Max. I was so shocked to read your post about your beloved Bryn and was
Unable to post my reply as I was in tears. Bryn had a special place in my heart as when he was up for adoption I just fell hook, line and sinker for him he looked so gentle and kind and that was what he was. I so enjoyed all your posts and he grew into a wonderful dog who did so much with you and who brought happiness to the people he visited.

I know only too well how you are feeling and send you my heartfelt sympathy that such a loving and loved dog should have this happen to him at only 8 years old.

Run free dear Bryn - please have a good play with my beloved George. Two big, black, eight year old boys both gone much too soon.
