Maisie - one year on!!!!!

Post by Mad Maisie »

Hi all,

Mad Maisie here!!! :P :P Well I have been with my mum and dad and big sister for over a year now!!!!! and I love it!!! When my mum first saw me on the web site I had been at MKF for a while not sure how long but it was a few weeks. Both Glenys and Katherine desrcibed me as "a bit of a loon" as I would charge around when anybody came to look at me and I think that put people off :( I also only have a little tail as I had an accident when I was younger :( Anyhow the day mum and dad came to MKF, true to my description of "a loon" I did charge around like a whirling dervish totally ignoring everyone!!! :bounce:

Glenys let Mum and Dad take me for a little walk (more like I dragged them) down the garden :o but inspite of my craziness thankfully they decided to give me a chance.
:compress: :compress:

I did create a bit of a whirl when I first arrived what with eating Grandma's wooden rolling pin, eating raw pastry and ending up in pets A&E!!! jumping up on the works tops and eating Dad's dinner  I was absolutley crackers on the lead as I don't think I had been used to being taken for a walk so I pulled all the time and nearly pulled Mum's shoulder out of joint!!!

Mum and Dad took me on very long walks and I then came more used to the lead and after a few weeks they then began to let me off!!! I think they were scared I might run off but they now know I could not stand to be without them :) :)

I have had great days out going for long walks and great holidays!!!! My sister Meg is very loving towards me and insists on cuddling by the fire with me but because I am so tiny she sometimes gets a bit heavy!!!!! :D

Mum and Dad say I am a character and smile at my antics even though I do sometimes get told off for being a bit giddy   Meg says "I will learn in time" (She is of course the older one)

Anyhow thanks to Glenys and co at MKF my Mum and Dad say it makes them feel as if they have done a little bit to help. I really love my new family and they love me :flower: :flower:

Hopefully photos to follow :D

Wonderful !! clever Maisie and your typing is good too  .
This highlights the difference between people who want an instant well behaved dog and those who are prepared to put work and effort in for the desired effect and of giving a home to a dog and taking them on warts and all.
This is such a great thread to read and makes the job worthwhile.

Let us know when Maisie is up to helping us with the newletters :D :D :read:

So glad that you are happy in your wonderful home Maisie. You sound just like I was when my new mum and her daughter fetched me from MKF six weeks ago tomorrow. It sounds as though you have a wonderful mum and sister.
You both look lovely cuddled up together, wonder whether I should ask mum for a partner too? Noooo, I wouldn't get all the cuddles then!

Love Bob

I can't believe it's nearly a year! :D
A great update. You've done wonders with her-they both look so happy.
She reminds me so much of a certain cheeky monkey that I know well! I'm sure they must be related! 8)

What a lovely update Gill, it is nice to hear the background to everyone's dogs - I haven't been around long enough to know some of the trials and tribulations you have all had to go through.

You certainly have put a lot of time and effort into this girl and it has definitely paid off. She is just gorgeous and a real credit to you.
