Another Happy Oldie ending Sheamus

Post by Glenys »

Remember Sheamus who came from Ireland and sadly through personal circumstances he was back up for homing? well here is an update.
Thank you Aileen and the Oldies Club too for prommoting the older dogs .

This from New family:

Dear Glenys and Kathryn,

I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for your help in letting us adopt Seamus.

He is a true gentleman and cuddlemonster all in one. It was very hard the family to let him go, but we have told them we will keep in touch regularly with updates. He's only been with us a couple of days but appears relaxed. It's quite funny seeing him in the garden with his tug toys. It's almost like he forgets how old he is and reverts back to puppyhood rolling in the grass. Oh, and my partner seems to think Seamus thinks he is a draft excluder as he seems to like laying near the patio doors where it's cool on sunny days...or sitting outside when it's drizzling!?

We'd been looking for a dog for a while and saw the big article in Dogs Monthly this month about oldie dogs so went on the Oldies Club site and found Seamus...it was like he was meant to be. It's so sad knowing there's lots in rescues and people don't want to give them a chance prefering to get a puppy/youngster. They've got so much love to give and are less bouncy.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you.

Best wishes

Katie

Excellent news, I am so pleased for him and his new family and its so kind of them to keep in touch with his old family. Im sure their minds will put at rest knowing his is loved as much as they loved him.

Glenys and Kathryn and the gang once again you've worked your magic.

Wonderful News. I am so glad that Sheamus has found a new home. It sounds as if he is going to spoilt. It is nice to know that the previous owners will be kept in touch as to how Sheamus is getting along. It must be heartbreaking to have to give a well loved pet up. :1973: :1971: :1972:

Wonderful news and, as Glenys mentioned, a huge thanks to Oldies Club for allowing us to cross post our older dogs looking for homes.
Love,
Aileen xx
