It's ringcraft-for showing them, the lady said that we could take Reuben along just so that he could mix with other dogs, he can be a pain on the lead when he meets other dogs ( we had a problem with him a few weeks ago when we tried to adopt from MKF, he got very jealous of the other dog) doesn't seem to know his boundaries. He is great mixing with other dogs off the lead. As the obedience class has such a long waiting list we were offered this and decided to go along to try and improve things. Unfortunately there has been a breakout of parvo virus (not at the club ) so as a precaution it has been closed for an incubation period. When we were home early my daughter was convinced he had been thrown out of class on his first visit.

There's no fear or aggression with Reuben, he just bounces about on the lead like a looney wanting to get to the other dog which isn't great on a busy road or when its icy! he's even managed to pull a muscle in my arm for which I ended up having physio on earlier this year. He is improving in everything else so hopefully these classes when they resume might help with this and he might learn a few manners. Good luck with Max, Jenny I am sure you will manage to sort things out with him. He looks a lovely dog.
