Anna
Life is just so much fun for you now, and I know you waited a long while for a mum (but Ruth was worth the wait wasn't she).
I am so pleased and happy to read these updates, I smile even though tears are in my ears, I just couldn't be more happy for you my little darling.

Hi Everyone,
Well, what can I update you on - everything is still really exciting so here are my latest exploits and accomplishments.
Mum is really pleased with me because last weekend for the first time, she took me out riding with her. I go with big brother Benjamin and big black brother Luddy looks after me as well. We went in an enclosed field to start off with so Luddy & I did our usual manic running (nearly crashed into Benj several times cos he wasn't in the place I last saw him). Hairy brother doesn't come on these outings - says it's beneath him or some such silly piffle! Personally, I think it's because he is scared of the horse but I don't dare say that if he's around - he's very eagle eared and might trounce me! I went out the next day with Benjamin as well and we went all round the Estate that Mum works on - it was ace, through fields and woods and everything! Mum says this means I can get even more exercise if I can come out riding with her.
I have discovered a way of walking on water - or to be more precise OVER water. When we run round the Estate in the mornings we go through some woods with streams and we go a new way now where we have to cross the streams. THe first time I wasn't sure about this thing Mum calls a bridge and I got stuck on the wrong side. Mum said I needed to "man up" and walk on it - so I did. It's really weird and I spent a lot of time standing on the little bridge and watching the water swirl underneath - it made me feel a bit dizzy!
I don't like this new weather we are having, it's far too wet and cold. I don't like going out into the rain. I get stuck behind puddles when I don't want to walk through or round them (mud at the sides) and Mum says it's more evidence of my "little Princess" attitude and that most Labradors don't care about a few spots of rain or puddles. I pointed out that I have less hair than most Labradors and that I could possibly do with a coat, to which she unfeelingly said "well grow some more then" and carried on running. I felt this was a little harsh - evil hairy brother sniggered but it's alright for him - he has a massive FLEECE of his own but I'm not designed to grow a coat like that.
I have been doing a new activity with the students at work - it's called "Agility" or something and I get to jump over little coloured jumps and go through tunnels - it's really quite exciting! THe students are really nice cos they always have treats to reward me for doing things but I think they are a bit stupid at times as I would do most of the activities for fun anyway but I'm not going to tell them that!
I spend my evenings chewing my new smoked bone - Mum says she got them in desperation so I would actually stay still in the evenings. She did give me something called rawhide bones but apparently she didn't like the way I chewed them to a pulp and then smeared bits all over tha carpet because it doesn't come off! I thought that it was rather artistic myself but there's no accounting for tastes. The smoked bone doesn't leave bits behind. Evil hairy brother doesn't have one as he thinks chewing bones is common but I caught him having a quick nibble on Luddy's.
I also get on Uncle Nick's knee and fall asleep there having lots of cuddles and strokes until it is tea time as we have our tea quite late.
Gosh, this is a long update, I'll have to go now, hope everyone else is ok,
Love Anna

Anna what a lovely update. I was wondering the other day if we were going to hear from you. Do you think SHE that must be obeyed might buy you a Coat for Christmas - perhaps a nice doggy Barber Gillet? It is obvious you are having a great time. Don't worry about not wanting to go out when it is raining. Balee likes to stay in when it is wet, But if you rattle his lead he is of like a shot.

Love reading Anna's updates, she makes me laugh. And I love the sound of the place her mum works... wish I worked in such a nice environment instead of a stuffy office!

Re: Anna (Rhianna) off to her new life
Lovely to hear from you again Anna. What a great time you are having with all these new experiences! I hope you get a lovely new coat for Christmas to keep you warm and dry.
I love rawhide bones especially because they get smeared all over the carpets - it's great fun as mum has to get down on her hands and knees to brush the carpet with a wire brush. While she's there I can push myself under her arm for a really big cuddle and snuffle and sloppy kiss. Sometimes she stops cleaning the carpet and we just have a cuddle on the floor instead.
You must get over this "little princess" attitude though. Mud and puddles are FUN! just try having a splash around - you might like it after all.
Keep the updates coming.

Another wonderful update Anna you do make me laugh! Great to hear from you. I suggest writing to Santa for a coat for Christmas i'm sure Mum wouldn't mind him bringing one for you. Sound like you are having a wonderful time in your new home.
How great to work where Mum does and ride horses for part of your job. I would also much rather be doing that than stuck in an office.
Happy Christmas Anna & family

Another great update, very amusing. Sounds like Anna is having a real fun life, one that any labrador (and human) would envy.
