Toby now Spenser

Post by kathryn »

Got this update today from Toby now Spensers new Mum..

Hi Kathryn

What a busy couple of weeks it has been since we picked Toby up, it seems much longer than that already and neither of us can imagine life without him already and cannot understand how anyone could ever think of giving him up.

We had a real problem getting him to answer to Toby, he just ignored us or hung his head low, so we decided to try a different name with great success - he is now called Spenser and seemed to respond to it really quickly, I'm not really sure why, only he could tell us.

The first 3 or 4 days he was very agitated and couldn't settle, he followed us around, chewed his bedding and had a bit of an upset tummy but he seems well and truly settled now. He gives a lovely contented groan when he's layed on his blanket in front of the fire each evening that makes your heart melt and he has finally fallen asleep on his back with his legs in the air, a sign of real contentment.

Here's a few pictures of him, one in the garden looking over his kingdom and about as interested in the sheep as he gets (that is, not really).

Thank you for letting us have this lovely boy, he is a bundle of fun and so loving, gentle and well behaved and I could go on forever telling you about his daily walks on the moors, the new things he is finding etc. etc. but I wont...

Again, a big thank you from Ian and myself and a big sloppy lick from Spenser!

Susan, Ian and Spenser

What another great success story. It must make all the hard work worthwhile when these lovely updates are received.

These updates make me even more determined to help the rescue, especially now with the new intake.
