Max off the lead

Post by maxImum »

Max is now able to be let off the lead as he did a few controlled runs and he was perfect, he comes and leaves other dogs when called and doesn't run too far away from us.I did have a bit of a fright when he threw himself into the canal and he realised the sides were too steep to just climb out, however I dragged him out and got thoroughly soaked in the process. :2008:
At least he learnt to look before he leaps next time, as there are parts he can get in and out on his own.
We just have to now work on his retrieving as he loves to run for the ball and catch it, but then runs off with it and drops it usually in a very soggy bit of ground

Sounds like you are having a lot of fun with Max, I bet he gave himself a fright not being able to get out of the canal. Glad he's able to be let off the lead too. He sounds an absolute joy! Keep the updates coming

He is not the tornado he was when we picked him up, he doesn't jump up at people and sleeps really well at night, he has a bed downstairs but prefers to sleep on the landing in sleeping bag he found in the spare room. :love2:

Lovely to hear that max is settling in well - don't take it for granted that he has learnt to look before he leaps LOL.

Sounds like one very happy doggy.
