Max

This is Max's update from his family :love5:

Thought I would let you know how Max is getting on in his new home. At night he has been fantastic - just a little grumble after we shut the kitchen door, but he soon stopped and then slept all night !! (that grumble only happened on the first and second night as he didn't think it was time for bed) He must have been shattered on Saturday as he hardly had any sleep, with the weather being so good he spent most of his day playing in the garden and as he had alot to do, so he didn't fancy any sleep. He made up for it on Sunday!
Over the weekend it feels like I just said no all the time.(Not just to Max but the kids as well) He was into everything. He has:-

chased chickens
tried to play with the cat
tried to figure out how to meet the rabbits and gunea pig
and, of course, found the pond

He is ace though and is beginning to understand that not all the animals around here want to play with him so eagerly. A more gentle approach allows him to get nearer to say hello - a little bit of work to do with the cat as she isn't comfortable just yet; she watches from above and carefully considers what on earth her best friend is doing with a puppy standing by her side!!.
At first we thought Molly (our spaniel) was a little jealous and had the odd grumble at Max when he bounced virtually on top of her. Now we think that she was a little unsure of what was happening and felt a little bit nervous. So not to force things we put two beds side by side. Its worked as they now share one bed and seem very happy and comfortable with each other.
Max is ace and it seems that he just loves company, especially human. He likes to be close by. (He is now asleep under the computer desk). As to his training, he is definately learning as we go. There are encouraging signs that he will soon put his chicken worrying days behind him.
