Bobby

Post by Tinaj »

:hello1: Hi

Bobby is fast asleep at the side of me at the moment - he's had a busy night. We've just come back from our first training session- so he's been working hard for his treats tonight!! We've had an initial one to one and we join the classes next week. But he did really well tonight - and where theres a treat to be had he catches on quickly!!

We do just need to keep an eye on him as he's been a little grumpy with the kids over the last week or so - just snapping at them when they go to stroke him - he's obviously trying to get above them in the pecking order - but that wont work!!! So we need to sort that out swiftly and we have addressed that tonight with the trainer.

He's now had a couple of weekends away with us at the caravan and is loving it!!

Keep you all updated.

Hi Tina, Phil, Georgia & Paul.

Can I make a suggestion that may help in the pecking order
We do just need to keep an eye on him as he's been a little grumpy with the kids over the last week or so - just snapping at them when they go to stroke him
Let the children put his food down for him instead of you or Phil so he thinks that they are also charge of him. Just a thought.

:hello1: Will give that a try this weekend.

The kids are away at the caravan with my mum so we will be back up with them tomorrow - Bob's not been grumpy once whilst the kids have been at the van - its as though he's trying to put the kids in their place and knows that he cant even attempt it with me and Phil!! I also wonder whether, as he's had a few telling offs and has been firmly put in his place by Blade our Border Collie, whether he thinks he can try and tell the kids off..........

Will give this a go and let you know. Thanks.

Pleased to hear that Bobby has started his training classes. that way he will be well trained by fun day :1970: Hope you get the snapping sorted out soon, I am sure he is just trying it on as you said. Getting the kids more involved with his care should help. Don`t forget you where we are if you need any advice though.
