Re: George unwell

Post by JoanG »

Unfortunately, George was ill again Saturday teatime, he just seemed to loose all his energy on a short walk and when he got home sort of laid down and didn't/couldn't get up again and his eyes went dull and he was just so still. I slept downstairs with him and he wasn't his usual self through the night. Today he seems back to normal again but we're taking things slowly.

His pain meds stopped on Friday so whether it's because of that I don't know but I will be getting an appointment at the vets asap. Something is going on I just hope we can get to the bottom of it quickly.

Joan, Am so sorry to just read George was poorly again last night, you must be so worried. I do hope you are able to see the vet soon and that they can track down a problem. I hope this evening and tonight go reasonably well for George and yourself. Poor George :bighug: We will be thinking of him and wishing him well.

Just to let everyone know George is once again back to normal, he's had a nice wet walk this morning and is now chilling on his bed.

Our orthopaedic vet is away this week so as he seems quite "normal" I've made an appointment for his first day back, next Monday. I will monitor him closely and take him to my vet if he becomes ill again. It's hard to know what to do but as the specialist vets like to do their own tests I don't want him stressed out twice.

Please keep him in your thoughts.

What a real roller coaster ride you and George are on. You are both going through the mill lately and I can imagine what that's like. Let's hope and pray that the answers come and you can both relax and start to feel better. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers and hopefully you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Sending :bighug: :bighug: :bighug:'s to you both. Sloppy licks from Molly. :2379:

I forgot to mention the other dip on the roller coaster, not George related thank goodness. When we went to bed last night around 11.30pm we found our en suite awash with water coming from the toilet cistern which is built in and the builders had sealed the access area in permanently!! The emergency plumbers couldn't reach us for 3 to 4 hrs so we had no choice but turn off water and heating until they could come today. A pipe had split apparently which had to be replaced but the marble top had to be levered off so we now have to get someone in to repair that. Still we have heat and water so I'm a happy bunny and we found it before any major damage was done
