I put her in her cage yesterday evening as I had to go out for an hour, as I shut the back door the "awooos" started but by the time I had got to the garden path they had stopped. It reminded me of when you leave a child at school and they cry and you go home feeling awful and worry all day only to be told by the teacher later that by the time you reached the school gates the child was happily playing!!! :1966: :1966:

Last night was better only a few "Awooos", we have found she does not like seeing me go--so I take the dogs out last thing and whilst they are busy sniffing around the grass Geoff comes out and I come in. This means that Geoff puts her to bed as I have left the kitchen and closed the door before she comes in. Geoff has always put the dogs to bed so it is good that she gets into our routine straight away.
It has been a funny week for her as my son is on the early shift so there is someone around from 4.45am and then he goes and then a little later we all get up.Grayse is coping with all this.
We had an exciting day yesterday as she discovered the water :1966: oh and the mud!! Mij thinks it is wonderful having someone to play in the water with him although the mess had to be seen to be believed. :2026: :2026:

If she cannot find a toy to bring you she brings her bedding, something Mij also does so now we have 2 dogs dragging vet bet around which is fine apart from the fact they go round and round your legs and the blanky ties your legs together so you cannot move or if you do you tend to fall over. :1966:
All in all she is making herself at home so much that I went to sit down last night she walked calmly up to me and then launched herself onto my knee :1966: :1966: she rested her head on my shoulder , sighed and then closed her eyes and yes snored!! :1967: :1967:

Grayse has had an amazing weekend, outside "working" with us all the time.
I never realised how much longer it would take to do anything with water when 2 labradors were involved!! :1966: :1966:
The hose pipe is her very favourite thing--possibly after food.
On saturday we got 7 pet lambs that are being bottle fed around the clock, Grayse is frightened of them after all they are huge hairy monsters!!!! :1966: :1966:

As you can see they really are scarey!!!! :1966: :1966:
Mij is very brave especially when it comes to licking milky faces.

Mij and Grasey are the best of friends and play together all the time although she is so much faster than him and can actually run as fast as Bob. After we have finished outside the serious sleeping and snoring starts, each dog will snuggle next to another and then the noise builds.

Image

All in all she has settled very well. Still alittle noise at night but not every night. She has coped with me getting up in the middle of the night to feed the lambs and settles straight away.

I await a new camera so the pics are all taken on my phone hopefully the camera will arrive in the next couple of days.

Best of friends :love5: :love2:

It as you say Re: Amazing Grayse. She must be in her element 3 homes and the last 2 wonderful. It is so lovely to see and hear her having a lovely time with MIJ. I was watching a program the other night about lambs and started to wonder if Lynne had any lambs yet, and there you are down the road and you have some. Oh what it is like living in the country. :love5:

I used to have a pet goat he was brilliant and followed me everywhere, I hand reared him on milk like Ky is doing with her lambs. I used to take him for walks he was a great friend even my Mum's and my dog used to play with him. If I had to take him to the vet he was no trouble and sat on my knee in the waiting room much to the amusement of the vets and waiting patients.
