Poppy has now been with us since early April. She has settled very well and is an absolute joy. Having said that we have had to learn a few lessons about living with a Labrador! She has a very healthy appetite and has an eye for any opportunity where food is left unattended. We spent a long time searching for a missing apple pie to have with our barbecue. We finally tracked down one very happy dog under the kitchen table licking her lips. This happened a second time with the remains of a joint of pork (and crackling!) left on the surface in the kitchen after Sunday lunch. Having interrogated the whole family we came to the conclusion that Poppy had struck again!
We are now well trained!
We have had a chocolate lab staying with us for a few weeks while her family are on holiday.Poppy loves having the extra company and has had a great time with Molly. I have taken a few photos to share.
As for moulting, Scobby would win a gold medal. I remember now why I said I would never have another yellow. Still, you couldn't have him for all the tea in China............he's ours, and we love him to bits, hair and all.

A house isn't a home without at least one Labrador

What a stunningly beautiful girl I can't believe she could be a food thief your post made me laugh
My sister was having a bonfire night party and I found her male lab, Bramble, in the kitchen with a pack of 24 defrosting burger rolls in his mouth. I yelled at him grabbed the rolls, he held on tight and shot off through the kitchen door with about 6 dangling from his mouth. They disappeared in a flash
