Remembering my beloved dogs

Post by Glenys »

Is your Heart.

Do you think your heart is big enough to store the love he gives
this handsome pup you've just aquired
in the short time that he lives

Do you think your heart is wide enough
to store up all the pride
Of the handsome dog,all grown up
as he walks out by your side

And will your heart be strong enough to cope with all the pain
When the time has come to say goodbye
You cant see him again

Well when my hearts no longer strong
and my life comes to an end
There will be a celebration, cos i'll see my friend again

As I take my walk on heavenly shores
I know that I will see
That familiar face,that wagging tail
Waiting there for me.

"Wait for me, I know you will
In that place where time stands still
meet me where the Rainbow ends
Wait for me my beloved friends.

So sad isn't it...they never leave us in our heads.

Can I squeeze my two in that were quite recent and still sadden me so much....

My gorgeous Barney - what a lovely soft dog he was

and tiny little KP - rescued by council workmen in an abandoned house in Stockport at 4 weeks old. Sadly he didn't recover from an op to take out some of his tiny teeth. we were devastated.

He never wandered far and was such a loving little mite!

Bless you both and all on this thread.

Without pictures, can I mention my first lab friend Betsy, a lovely bouncy waggly tailed lady, my second Rosie who was a beautiful girl, my little mate Polly who died in 2007 and my beloved Max who died in 2008. I know that you are all safe now and you'll always be in my heart.

That's a lovely poem Glenys.

I like all the pictures.

It is nice to have the memories and the pictures so you can reminisce about your pets.

Thankfully I haven't lost any pets since I was a teenager. It is very hard to say goodbye.

Very raw memories and a very emotional time. My very first Christmas and New Year without Buster. Memories of my boy will alway be in my heart. He will be remembered forever.
I am ever so glad that I have Sam to easy the terrible heartache.
